The Bible Timeline: The Story of Salvation
24-part Bible Study offered Mondays from September 12 – April 3, 6:30-8:30pm, PMC
In this pastoral, practical approach to Scripture, discover how fourteen of the Bible’s narrative books tell the biblical story from beginning to end with presenter Jeff Cavins. Following a unique color-coded chart, learn the major people, places and events of the Bible and how they all come together to reveal the story of our faith. The Bible Timeline will teach you how to read and understand the Bible and introduce you to the wonderful narrative of the Bible in a way that will transform your life.
Cost and registration
$40 for the Bible Timeline workbook study set if registered by August 25. Registration comes with online access to all videos, in case you miss a class.

Matthew: The King and His Kingdom

Jeff Cavins explains how Jesus is challenging and empowering us to achieve a new level of holiness and how, to live it, we must be thoroughly immersed in the kingdom of heaven on earth, the Church. Matthew provides the key to understanding the New Testament and Christ as the fulfillment of God’s plan.

Acts: The Spread of the Kingdom
20-part Bible Study offered Wednesdays from September 14 – March 1
Daytime study: 1-3pm, PMC
Evening study: 6:30pm-8:30pm, PMC
Acts is the story of how a few Christians empowered by the Holy Spirit were chosen to bring Christ and the Good News to the ends of the earth. Presenter Jeff Cavins shows how the joys and struggles of the early Christians in living the life of Christ apply to us today and help you to see your place in the Church as a disciple of Christ.

Saint Formation
Saint Formation (formerly Practical Catholicism) is for Catholics who seek to grow in fellowship and faith through practical application of the gifts of knowledge, understanding and good counsel. The group investigates original Catholic texts in “bite-sized” portions so they can be discussed and explored during our two-hour meetings. Liturgy of the Hours – gathers 30 minutes before weekday morning Masses to pray the Liturgy of the Hours together in the Church. We are happy to teach. Contact Barbara Brown 719-650-1422 or mountainkid@comcast.net.

Families of Nazareth Faith Sharing Group
This ministry provides an opportunity to look at everyday experiences through the eyes of faith, to see more clearly God's presence and loving action in each moment. Meetings are currently suspended, but anyone interested is encouraged to contact Julie Bailey by email or call 719-434-1066. In general, meetings are one-hour and include spiritual reading, catechism reference, Sunday Mass scripture reflection, meditative questions and faith sharing.
Praying Prodigals Home Prayer Group
The group meets to pray together and give mutual support to St. Peter parishioners looking to bring family members and loved ones back to practicing the Catholic faith. The group meets on the 2nd. Sunday of each month at 3:30 (before the 5pm Mass) in the large conference room. For more information, contact Mary Parrish (719-900-7420 or parrishmar@aol.com).
