Upcoming EventsJuly 28 Rosary Walk for Life
after 8:15am Mass St. Peter is hosting the diocesan Rosary Walk for Life in July. Join Deacon Jim Bachta, Associate Director of the Respect Life Apostolate, as we pray the Rosary and walk in quiet prayer through our Monument neighborhood. We end up at the Adoration Chapel for a Divine Mercy Chaplet. Unable to walk? Spend time in prayer in the Chapel in solidarity with our walking parishioners and pilgrims from other parishes. We walk and pray to engage more intently in the spiritual battle for the sanctity of life and to provide prayer support for those who witness near Planned Parenthood. For more information, contact Stephanie Kemp ([email protected] or 719-481-4355). September 11 Bishop's Respect Life Roundup Join us at Flying W Ranch with keynote Lauren Castillo. Heart of My Heart Miscarriage and Infant Loss Support Ministry
If you have suffered the unthinkable - a miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss, there is help and information available in our parish and at the diocese: miscarriage delivery kits; caskets for tiny babies and full term; lovingly made resting gowns and pouches; resources for burial or cremation; Memorial Mass information and a caring support group facilitated by a professional Catholic grief counselor. Know that you are not alone in your sorrow. To learn more, call the parish office, contact Letisha Cronin ([email protected] or 720-649-0787) or click here. Our St. Peter School staff and students (along with parish office staff) were superheroes on Wednesday, March 6, wearing their new "REMEMBER The Unborn" t-shirts. SPCS is the first school in the diocese to start a Life Runners School Chapter. They will join other team members around the world wearing "REMEMBER The Unborn" shirts as a life-saving witness on the 1st Wednesday of every month.
WHY LIFE RUNNERS? 78% of post-abortion mothers said if they had encountered ONE supportive person or encouraging message, they would have chosen life. 23,400+ teammates in 3,500+ cities across 47 nations, deliver millions of life-saving messages with “REMEMBER The Unborn” jerseys and jackets. Running is optional. 10,000+ students (K to college) wear jerseys at school to be heroically pro-life, preventing abortions and changing our culture. Post-abortion parents also wear this redemptive message for healing. With access to the abortion pill in the mail and across state lines, Life Runners present life-saving messages everywhere. If you want to join our school students and staff in their simple pro-life witness, visit https://www.liferunners.org/help/ to order a blue "REMEMBER the Unborn" jersey and wear it on the first Wednesday of each month. October 2, 2022 The Truth About RU486
LiveAction has documented the highly politicized and anti-scientific nature of the Federal Drug Administration approval process for the chemical abortion pill- RU486. FDA approval has been used to hide the adverse and deadly effects of the combined drugs (Mifepristone and Misoprostol) from vulnerable mothers seeking a quick medical abortion. Currently there is an effort underway to make the abortion pill available over the counter. Read this highly-documented article and click here to watch the two short videos.
