CJ Johnson - Diaconate Candidate
Clarence Johnson (CJ) was born in Austin, Texas, to an Air Force family that moved around while he was young. His family ultimately settled in San Antonio, where he spent most of his formative middle and high school years.
He, himself, is an Air Force veteran, who retired from active service after 27 years. While serving in the Air Force, he performed work in a number of mission areas, to include nuclear operations, legislative affairs, and weapon systems procurement. He is a graduate of the United States Air Force Academy, St Mary’s University, Air Command and Staff College, and the National War College. He retired from the Air Force while working at the Pentagon and subsequently served as an executive performing in counterterrorism and countering weapons of mass destruction leadership roles for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) in Washington, D.C. He is married to Ms. Sheila Maguire, his wife of 19 years. CJ received the sacraments of initiation into the Catholic Church in 2015 and fell in love with his Catholic faith. CJ and his wife Sheila moved to Monument in 2018 to follow the Lord’s prompting to be near family and continue discerning a vocation to the diaconate. He asks for your prayers as he continues his discernment journey and as he prays for the St. Peter Parish Community. |
