Are you thriving or just surviving?
We all have an insatiable desire for happiness. We all want to feel like we belong. And we all want to find friends who will walk with us through life’s challenges. Join us for our upcoming women’s CRHP Welcome Weekend. It’s an incredible overnight experience hosted by our parish that will inspire you to: • Find clarity and purpose in your life • Form meaningful relationships • Approach your life with renewed energy and a fresh perspective It's amazing how just one yes can change your life. We hope to see you there! |
What is Welcome?
It is an incredible experience that will help you discover what is missing in your life and what to do about it. It’s also an amazing opportunity to become a better version of yourself, by enhancing your relationship with Christ thru prayer and reflection. You will listen to how Christ has worked in other women's lives and have the chance to begin or continue to see how He is working in yours. (It is not a silent retreat.)
Who is invited?
Every member of St. Peter Church who is at least 18 years old is invited. This includes all persons residing within the parish boundaries and/or those registered at St. Peter, regardless of attendance. Men and women participate on different weekends. Registration is limited to 25.
What is the fee?
The weekend is a gift from the parish and volunteers and provided at no cost to attendees.
Where is the weekend held?
At the St. Peter Parish Ministry Center
Do I have to spend the night?
Yes. The weekend is packed and in order for you to receive the most from it we ask that you disconnect from your family and friends and focus on what is happening. Each section builds on the next and for the sake of continuity, please plan to remain at the parish center from beginning to end. But don't worry, we try to see that you get plenty of sleep and recently upgraded to queen-sized air beds that sit 18 inches off the floor. They are very comfortable.
What if my family needs to get in touch with me?
There is an emergency number that we send you that anyone can contact during the weekend if there is a need.
How long is the weekend?
It begins Saturday morning at 8am and ends Sunday at 3pm. We will attend Sunday Mass though it will not be with the congregation. It is a special Mass just for our weekend, held in the St. Peter the Rock Chapel.
Do I need to get up and speak about my life?
No. First of all we don't ask you to do anything you are uncomfortable with. We will ask you to stand and introduce yourself and maybe tell us if you are married? Have kids? and how long you have been in the parish.
What do I need to do or bring to prepare for this?
You will receive a letter with specifics of what to bring, but basically something to sleep in and change of clothes for the next day. How do you prepare? Come with an open mind and don't expect anything. Let God work the way He wants during this weekend. (Each experience is different because each participant is different. Only the format is the same.)
What if I have special needs?
We do our absolute best to cater to you during the weekend. If you need anything we try to be there for you. If you have medical needs will accommodate to the best of our ability. We can notify you when it is time to take meds if you are on a specific schedule or help with anything you need. If it is your diet that needs to be addressed, we will work with you to make sure there is plenty of food you can eat. We are here as servants of Christ and try to make this weekend all about you and your time with Christ.

St. Peter Parishioner Testimonies
"What an awesome response to say ‘Yes!’ to God’s call to be closer to Him. I am so very glad I did. It was fun, challenging, and life-changing." ~Teresa Crichton
"The men’s Christ Renews His Parish weekend had 18 attendees that were hosted by 17 men from the parish that had previously been on a weekend. The result was a fun but very moving experience. We hope that you talk to some of the men about their experience, and then join us." ~Bob Leise
"When you give yourself the gift of spending 32 hours listening to and opening up to God’s plan for you, amazing transformations occur. That is what the Christ Renews His Parish retreat can do. So think seriously about giving yourself this gift. Then stand back and prepare to be amazed." ~Harriet Boomer
"The CRHP weekend was an eye-opener for me – I was able to witness the Holy Spirit in action through the other men during the weekend. It is an incredible experience – I am so thankful to those who encouraged me to attend and to those men who invested their time to host me during the weekend by being living examples of Christ’s ministry." ~Dave Davern
"The CRHP Formation Process is likened to the Woman at the Well. Jesus draws you in and little by little, He reveals everything about you. Unmerited and unwarranted, He Extends Love Perpetually through the team of men and women." ~Therese Davern
"I was a witness to, and became a part of, an explosion of the Holy Spirit." ~Nolan Behr
"The CRHP weekend experience made me a better wife, and a better mother to my children living at home. It was life giving to retreat from the crazy busy-ness of life and hear God's voice of gentle wisdom. I came away refreshed, recharged, and renewed." ~Sonja Beaudoin
"Not only did I grow closer to God, but I gained a large group of very close friends along the way." ~Nancy Wolfe
"CRHP was a wonderful experience and so good for my soul. My CRHP sisters are so dear to me. I am so thankful for their love and friendship." ~Joan Peterson
"I have never been involved with a more loving, caring group of women and I so appreciate each of them for letting me be a part of their group." ~Marge Barker
