Peter the Rock Chapel, Parish Ministry Center and School Expansion

For more information, contact Debby Dover or Fr. Gregory Golyzniak (719-481-3511).

A Gift to Our Community
Peter the Rock Chapel, site of the original St. Peter Catholic Church, and the Parish Ministry Center (PMC) play a vital role in serving our parish community.  In addition to the church, these buildings provide accommodations where we can strengthen and nurture our faith in God. The PMC hosts our Faith Formation and Confirmation classes, the Knights of Columbus, our youth groups, Tapping into Theology, the Amazing Women's Guild, RCIA classes, bible studies and many more ministries. It is also the home to a beautiful library for reading and reflection. Our beautiful chapel provides a sacred place for Adoration, weddings and other Catholic events. Soon, a Biblical Garden will provide an additional retreat for spiritual reflection.
Though we have had COVID restrictions we have the technology in place to offer remote learning from the ministry center for those who are not able to attend in person.

More than half of the cost of the project has been paid, however, the church still holds a mortgage on the remaining balance. Please prayerfully consider making a pledge or contribution.
Your contribution will have a lasting impact on our parish community.

Listed below are financial vehicles that may help you minimize your tax liability.

  • RMDs - Make a “Charitable Contribution” directly to St. Peter from your IRA or other eligible retirement accounts to avoid having to pay Uncle Sam.
  • Stock transfers – Facing large capital gains?  Gifting stock to the parish helps avoid paying capital gains and offers a deduction to offset other gains.
  • Corporate sponsorship – Community engagement is accentuated in the time of social media; start building your social excellence by giving to the parish today.
  • Inherited or Beneficiary IRA – Receive an IRA from a loved one and have to pull money out or face penalties?  Make a “Charitable Contribution” directly to St. Peter to benefit in many ways.
  • CARES Act & Charitable Giving – The CARES Act offers additional above-the-line deductions for giving for even more tax efficiency!
  • Planned giving & Bequests – Many parishioners want to know their legacy will be continued for decades to come by creating a planned giving strategy that can be tax efficient too.
This is intended as information only; please consult your financial planner or tax advisor for detailed information.

Thank you for your support!
