| Red Cross Shelter | Saint Peter Catholic Church is an American Red Cross-approved emergency shelter during times of distress in the Tri-Lakes area. Our parish seeks those willing to staff the shelter in time of need, and training is provided to volunteers willing to help. | |
Respect Life![]() |
The purpose of this Committee/Ministry is to articulate the Church’s teaching on the value and dignity of human life and to help those in our parish family to become aware of the ministries in the community that witness to that commitment. The RLC activates the resources of the parish in three areas: education, pastoral care, and political advocacy.
| Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults | RCIA is the process through which adults inquire about, prepare for, and are welcomed into the Catholic Church with the sacraments of Baptism (if not already baptized), Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist. Weekly presentations, study, discussion, and prayer help participants understand and experience the specific teachings and practices of the Catholic Church. | |
| Scouts | Saint Peter sponsors Cub Scout Pack 217 and Scouting Religious Awards recognized and presented with their religious medal during the annual Saint Peter Scout Mass and their certificates from the Bishop at the Scout Recognition Mass held at Saint Mary Cathedral. | |
| Single Mothers of Mary | Our objective is to turn the hardship cross of single motherhood into a beautiful challenge with Christ, fulfilling our potential as Christian women through Jesus Christ. To do this, we will come together to pray, encourage, and grow in our personal relationship with Jesus Christ. | |
| Stephen Ministry |
Stephen Ministers are lay Christians who receive a minimum of 50 hours of training and continuing education to equip them to provide confidential one-on-one Christian care to those in our community who are experiencing difficulty. A Stephen Minister typically meets with his or her (same sex) care receiver about an hour per week to listen, pray, support, encourage, and “be there” as long as needed.
| That Man is You | That Man Is You! meets on Tuesday mornings and is an interactive men’s program combining the best research from science with the teachings of the Catholic faith and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of a man fully alive. By honestly addressing the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, it seeks to form men who are capable of transforming homes and society. | |
| Women’s Guild | The Saint Peter Women’s Guild increases the love of God and encourages community within the parish by supporting our parish and larger community needs, both financially and through service. All women of the parish are encouraged to participate in the guild, which meets once a month after morning Mass for prayer and social community with a breakfast and a presentation on a topic of interest. |
