Saint Peter Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC) participate with Extraordinary Ministers from Saint Patrick Parish to bring Holy Communion to Catholic patients at Memorial North Hospital, 4050 Briargate Pkwy, in Colorado Springs, about 12 miles distant from Saint Peter Church.

Click here to view standard procedures for bringing Holy Communion to Memorial North Hospital.  Memorial Hospital requires several hours of training for its volunteers to learn hospital policies and procedures. Volunteers then receive a picture badge allowing them access to all areas of the hospital.  In order to become an EMHC, you must first be recommended by the parish, then receive appropriate training from the parish, and finally be mandated by the diocese.

Schedules

EMHC are scheduled on a monthly basis between the two parishes. Normally, an EMHC will bring Holy Communion to the hospital between 2-5 times a month, depending on requirements and his/her expressed desires.
