Our Purpose
Arts and Environment is a liturgical ministry responsible for the preparation of our physical church space. Our goal is to create an environment that draws our community more fully into prayer at each Mass and through all seasons of our liturgical year. Just as we take time and thought to prepare our homes for special feasts and holidays, we do the same for God’s House.
Our Team Members
We invite helpers of ALL ages to join our team. No formal training is required, and the time commitment is minimal. No matter your skills, we can use you!
Our Schedule
Decorating is done for each of the liturgical seasons. Our work is scheduled in advance via email or phone, with special bulletin announcements for Christmas and Easter. You choose when you can help. Your time commitment depends on the task. Small jobs require as little as 10 minutes of your time, while full Christmas and Easter decorating (see below) may take 1-2 hours. If you have 10 minutes to give, we can use you!
Easter Sewing
Are you a QUILTER who enjoys rotary cutting and/or piecing? Does your FABRIC STASH need ‘weeding’? If so, the Art & Environment Ministry needs YOU! We need experienced quilters to help cut and piece our new Easter banner designs. We are also in need of fabric, ranging from gold to white, to complete our design. If you are interested in working on this project, or have fabric to donate, please contact Renee Taylor at 488-6637 or jimandrenee@q.com.
